About Me

I design efficient, highly functional products. I come to industrial design from a background of diverse work and life experience. I have a bachelor's degree in sculpture, and a master's in design. I've worked as a designer, mechanic, truck driver, event coordinator, tour operator, factory line painter, and a few odd jobs.

My point of view as a designer is informed by everything I've done. I thrive on refining an object- whether it's for higher function, improved appearance, or increasing efficiency. My favorite part of the design process is negotiatinng the push and pull of driving a product from design through engineering, and into production. I'm not a napkin-sketch designer- I have to take things apart, put things together, and learn exactly where the outside edges of possibility are. I'm always up for a challenge, and not afraid to challenge manufacturers, engineers, or other designers to try something new.
